SOLO drivers cancel stage 12 because of the most difficult conditions! After 600 km in constant rain, violent head wind (500 km in just 25 hours) and temperatures around 13 ℃, nothing worked anymore. “We are hypothermic and constantly on the go with wet clothing. The weather forecast predicts rain until Monday. After 7,500 km there is nothing left in the legs. You have no way to warm up, it takes your last strength,” says the uniform tenor of the solo drivers. After 600km of the 12th stage, the rider field has climbed uniformly off the bike. The race management now has to make further decisions about how the stage to Svobodny will be scored.
